Anybody watch 'Supernatural' too?

Supernatural is a show on the CW and has much of the same dynamics as the Hardy Boys. Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) Winchester are brothers who hunt down demons, ghosts, spirits, anything of the Supernatural kind thanks to their father who bought them up to be supernatural hunters.
I just started buying the Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew DVD's and can't help but notice the similarities between them. It's clear that Stevenson and Cassidy had great chemistry and I'm sure any Supernatural fan will tell you that it's an undeniable fact when you see Ackles and Padalecki together that they have great chemistry as well.
Hopefully you all will check it out and enjoy the show as much as I do!

I've seen the first 8 episodes of Supernatural and I liked it.

I agree that the lead actors had/have a great chemistry. Very much like the leads in HB.

On the topic of brother heroes, I was also a fan of Simon And Simon. They were superbly cast, too.

Just for a bit of trivia, Katie Cassidy (Shaun Cassidy's niece) has appeared on "Supernatural".

Oh, yeah! Was there ever a hotter female demon?

Sam, if you've got weapons lock on that son of a bitch, TAKE HIM OUT!!

My son who is 23 and has never watched the Hardy Boys, but I explained to him and he watched a few clips on youtube has said the same thing -- that they kind of are alike but of course Supernatural (which is like my fave show on right now ) does remind me of he Hardy Boys (which I loved back then-S Cassidy was my dreamboat back then - loved everything about him bought his album and played it like crazy) anyway they didn't have a lot of supernatural stuff like the Winchester boys have on the show but had the mystery for sure and were brothers fighting the good fight...I would love to collect the DVDs for Hardy boys and Nancy Drew which I loved as well...I have read all the books in grade school..I loved the actress who played Nancy, she was so gorgeous w/those big beautiful expressive eyes, who would've known she go and play a spoiled "B" on Dynasty..anyway is there a channel or something where i could watch the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew if so please please let me know. I would love for my son to watch them...thanks in advance.

I do watch Supernatural and have become a huge, huge fan. However, I respectfully disagree with you about the chemistry being similar. I see far more chemistry between J2 than I ever did between Cassidy/Stevenson. I think the difference is J2 are best friends and have become brothers in real life. They are no longer just playing brothers on a show. Their roles on the show has transcended the show and has become their relationship in real life. I don't think the same occurred between Cassidy and Stevenson. I see far less chemistry in the Hardy Boys than I do in Supernatural. Even in the very first episode the chemistry between J2 was there and evident. Not so in the Hardy Boys.

I believe the chemistry between J2 was evident when they auditioned together. The similarities between J2's families are incredible. Both from Texas, both middle children, both have an older brother, both have a younger sister...both older brothers' names begin with "J", both younger sisters' names begin with "M." They were in each other's weddings and were roommates during filming of S4. Plus the fact that they are the only two stars of the show. The Hardy Boys have other stars. Not so with Supernatural. They're on set 18+ hours a day 6 days a week for at least 8 months out of the year. Then there are the conventions they attend. Jensen cut an autograph session short when a fan took liberties with Jared in order to make sure Jared was okay. During the filming of "Everybody Loves A Clown," Jensen has to attack the Impala's trunk with a crow bar. After filming of that was over, Jensen walked away and Jared hurried after him to make sure he was okay. When Sam got his soul back, the hug between them was real. It wasn't faked for filming. It was real. Jensen's tears during AHBL 2 were real--that was really Jared lying there on the mattress. None of this stuff can be faked. Chemistry can't be faked.

I didn't mean to write this much...when I start writing about Supernatural I often have a difficult time stopping. My apologies. I'm a fiercely loyal and huge fan of Supernatural and I hope it goes on to have many more seasons past the current 7th season.
