the sleuth

Did the Hardy's boat the sleuth ever show up in this TV series

I've watched every episode, some many times, and I wondered the same thing - why did they never use the Sleuth?

So, unless I blinked and missed it, my very educated answer would be they absolutely did not.

They actually had a few boat scenes, and perhaps could have used it, but they didn't. But, they didn't use a lot of things from the original 58 books, in the series. Iola, Biff, Tony, their mom, the lab was above the garage, not in the basement. I mean, I could sit here all day thinking of discrepancies.

That is why I always tell people that the Hardy Boys show, wasn't really the Hardy Boys from the books. It was just a show loosely based on the books. Parker even admits that in an interview.

They picked and choosed what they wanted to use and how they wanted to portray it. Like Chief Colig is an old grump in the TV show, but in the books, he works with, and has a lot of respect for the Hardys.

I still loved the show, though.

Thank you for the info. I've seen about half of all
the shows and did not recall seeing it. Would have been nice to see it but its still a great show
I must say season 2 ep.1 where they meet Dracula is my favorite ep. Followed by season 1 ep 1

Depends on what series of the books you are referring to regarding Chief Collig. In the original series before they were revised in the 1960's (the blue spine volumes), the Hardy Boys frequently didn't get along with the Chief. The police force in Bayport was mostly ridiculous and couldn't get much done left to their own devices.

Conquer your fear, and I promise you, you will conquer death.
