I'm thinking it's either season 5 or 6 with a couple, mam and woman who rob banks. And kidnap a teller and leave her in a burning car. Later the couple go on a spending spree with the stolen money. At one point they purchase a new Camaro and drive it through a plate of glass at the dealership. They both get shot at the end

I don't think that was Chips as no one ever gets shot. The cops never really draw their guns. Maybe it's another police show.
