Lou Wagner.

I've seen the promos of "CHiPS" on MeTV with Robert Pine, Randi Oakes, Paul Linke, and Lou Wagner. I don't know who Lou Wagner is, and the character he played on the show.

Too bad there isn't a website called "Internet Movie Data Base" that has cast lists for every tv show and movie put out by Hollywood.

reply

What I mean is, what kind of character does he play on the show? All of the years I've been watching, CHiPS, I've never seen him.

reply

So you're on the Chips message board which is linked through the Chips page on imdb which has a cast list where you can actually find out. Why is that so hard to look up?

reply

What I'm wanting to know is, what was the significance of the character, and what did he do? I know the name of the character, it states that on his IMDb page.

reply

So you've watched Chips all these years but when you see Lou Wagner's name on the cast list with the name of the character he played on the Chips imdb page you have no idea who that character is? Did you try clicking on his name to see a pic of him to jog your memory? He plays a character that joined Chips in season 2 and stayed till the end in season 6.

I'll presume English is not your native language, so you're having trouble communicating here.

Harlan was the mechanic. It is unlikely the CHP would only use one such person for a fleet the size of the one in Los Angeles. Most police agencies use newer model vehicles that are under some type of warranty, so they use the dealer for repairs, or may contract with a private shop for non-warranty repairs, so IMO his character was added for some non-police diversity.
