Have to ask the fans here that watch it regulary and post here on the board.

Did Ponch or John ever pull out there revolvers?

It's a weird thing that I never have caught before, but of the episodes I have caught where they should have pulled there weapons they did not. I must say the early seasons are a lot of fun but as the series continued on it really ran out of ideas. I tried to watch a few episodes from the last season with out Larry Wicox but found them terrible.

No, Ponch and John never pulled their revolvers out during the original series run from 1977-83, they did pull them out in the CHiPs '99 tv movie.

As far as I know, Baricza was the only officer to pull his gun out during the original run and that was when Danny Bonaduce was beating him up in Season 4's "Karate."

Thank you for the quick response and information. Such a strange thing to think of but for a cop show it is a bit weird that they did not incorporate some scenes where they did pull there weapons out like so many cop shows at the time.

Although I will admit Chips was never Starsky and Hutch. LOL... : )

I remember Jon having his hand on his gun once and so did Bobby. I think it was some kind of a statement being made that they didn't pull their guns except that one time.
