I couldn't agree with you more. Stupid ass Hollywood is running out of ideas for movies so they remake everygoddamn thing and people are foolish enough to dish out money to go see the end results if you ask me the original was perfect and it doesn't need to be remade. Period.

The remake will likely be a hit now because of Whitney's death. Other than that I think it would have bombed like all the other musical remakes did.(Footloose,Fame)
