Does anyone have a good idea of where the deleted scenes shown in 'Trail of The Pink panther' would have been in this movie? Some just don't seem to fit anywhere (like the "Message/Massage" scene).
shareI think that the Message/Massage scene may have come before the final meeting with Quinlan and Drummond before Clouseau heads off to Munich.
shareI think that the gag involving Clouseau exiting the plane and falling down the stairs would have come right before the sequence where Clouseau first visits the castle with the two Scotland Yard inspectors. Other than that, I have no clue.

Some of the scenes might have just been filmed and the script then changed. For example, Clouseau seems to have his own office where he makes a mess with his pipe, hence, starting a fire. That scene doesn't look like it fits into any of the original movies. Sellers was incredibly diffcult to deal with so he might have demanded a billion script changes just to be awkward, which is exactly what he was.
All the scenes ARE from Strikes Again. Edwards and Sellers had a improvising style, even the Prof. Balls scene from Trail wasn't in the script for Strikes Again. Also, Strikes Again was much much longer. A longer cut hasn't been released (yet) so we have to do it with this one.

shareAlso the fact Sellers was long and dead before Trail was released would be a good indicator that they are from Strikes Again or Return.
