On the same subject, why did Herbert Lom,s assistant disguise himself as Cleauseau when he knew dozens of assassins were trying to kill him.
sharehe did it to get into cleuseu's hotel room, where he was going to ambush the real closeu in the bathroom. But the egyptian assassin got to closeu's room before the real closeu got there, so he killed the imposter, made a pit-stop, and then went on his way.
