In my opinion, this is the best and most hilarious Clouseau movie, excepting the 1964 masterpiece "The pink panther". And, of course, the worst in the saga ("The son of the pink panther", I believe), is better than Bud Yorkin and Alan Arkin´s "Inspector Clouseau". Why they did that movie????
shareWell i have seen this film and also "A Shot in the Dark" but i have never seen the first , but i think that it couldn't be so funny without the marvelous Herbert Lom as the evil inspector.But it's true that the film from 1976 is wonderful!
shareCan't remember how many times I've seen this film, but it never fails to have me in stitches. Looking forward to picking this and "A Shot In The Dark" up when the remastered DVDs come out.

i love "shot in the dark" because it has the best plot out of any clouseau movie, but "strikes again" is the definately the funniest out of them all!

Absolutely agreed. And both Sellers and Lom are in top form in both films (though Sellers was, admittedly, superb in ASITD, I loved him the same here).

It's also my favorite one, with The Return of the Pink Panther being my second favorite. It really makes full use of the comedic talents of both Sellers and Lom.
