I love the thought that Clouseau and Kato fight - EVERY DAY

Every day, Clouseau gets home. Every day, Kato is waiting for him. Every day, they fight. And every single day, they completely destroy the apartment, leaving Kato plenty to clean up until the next day.

I asked the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

reply

Me too.

Also, I think as much as those "training sessions" makes Clouseau a better fighter, I think it makes Kato a progressively worse one.

Before working for Clouseau, Kato was probably a Bruce Lee-level martial artist.

It really does beg the question how is the home tidy and intact every time he comes home from work every evening, when you consider the monumental amount of damage they cause in these little attack games on each other.

reply

Exactly. And now we know the answer to that question, which is that Kato is painstakingly gluing everything back together.

I also love how Clouseau's Parisian flat is absolutely labyrinthine in it's design. It always starts with Clouseau's lengthy search for Kato which in an of itself results in significant destruction. Kato and Clouseau seem to always be losing and then finding each other in their fights.

And God help the poor tenants that live under, above, or around them.

Brilliant!

reply

Ah, the benefits of being an Inspector, and not a lowly beat cop.

reply

He'd want to be. Imagine how many TV's, lamps, beds, and other furniture he has to replace every damn day.

reply

The mind boggles trying to imagine every conceivable ingenious ambush ploy that Cato had to devise in order to keep Clouseau's devastating judo skills razor sharp!

reply

"I have to hand it to you, Kato. Your freezer ambush ploy it was very, very good". That's the only time he congratulated Kato on an original attack.
