I really love this movie. I always get angry when people say that Brando ruined the film by changing his accents. These people miss the point. He changes his accents as part of the multiple personalities he has created. It is a tactic to fool people and make them think he is someone he is not, he is a chameleon. Kazan thought that he deliberately sabotaged the movie which is completely false. If it wasn’t for Brando this movie would have been just another western, he changed this by creating a colorful yet psychopathic villain.

Agree. This was Brando's last great performance. I find him hilarious in it and he certainly steals every scene he's in with Nicholson.

I agree, too. Not my favorite western by a long shot, but you can't not watch Brando.

I think Brando's performance is hilarious and brilliant, but of course, I enjoyed Jack's performance the best. I love him, though so I would say that. Lol.
