Hot ticket item used VHS - pricey!!!

My uncle just wore out his VHS copy, so I'm looking for another to get him. I think, "Simple, I'll hop on Amazon and get him another." Wrong. The cheapest USED VHS copy is current copy is $99 bucks!! Ack!! Ok. Hop over to eBay. A little cheaper at $60 & $90 bucks. What is it with this film? I've never seen it but boy oh boy, I'm thinking whatever entity owns the rights, really should release it on DVD. They could be making a bundle off of it on sales, etc. I'm a fan of Lee Marvin and I also work in a DVD rental shop. I'm sure if this was released, the owner just might get it to rent.

Next stop, SwapTree.

I'm sure the reason the VHS was expensive was because it was rare -- but it was rare because there was never much of a market for it, not because it was inherently good or anything.

And it IS apparently now available on DVD:

You're welcome to it, I'm not a fan.
