Running time

Futureworld was listed at 104m on Comcast On Demand, the same length most other sources give. I had always thought it was longer than that. So I turned on Comcast > On Demand > Free Movies > Impact > Naughty Bots (This is Comcast Digital in standard definition, NTSC in the US) and watched FW uncut, in 4:3 ratio, and with a handy blue-green time bar when I fast-forward or reverse. Towards the end I checked the time, and sure enough, FW ran over its listed length by 4 minutes. Peter Fonda gave his rude gesture to the mad doctor at 1:45, a minute after FW was supposed to end. Then the end credits went for 3 minutes, followed by the MGM lion, and FW clocked in at 1:48. I am sure this is the exact version I first saw in the theater.
