Funny recollections about this film.

I was about 10 years old when this film came out and it was just about the biggest thing for boys playing little league.

A problem a lot of us had was that our parents wouldn't take us to see it because of the cursing and the adult nature of the film.

I remember one day we were talking about this movie before a little league game. We were talking to the coach's son who's father wouldn't take him to see it. We told him the PBS station, channel 13 in NYC was showing a special screening of the film that afternoon. The kid freaked out and jumped the fence and ran home to go watch the movie. We just started cracking up because even at that age we knew there was no way a current film would ever be on T.V.

His father, the coach started to walk around looking for "Kevin." We told him he went home to watch "Bad News Bears." The guy started freaking out, cursing, "WTF, WTF, KEVIN!"
