God, how I've always hated Joyce Van Patten (Cleveland)

What an absolute c@nt. "Wow, who woulda thought those marshmallows had it in them." You f'g condescending b!tch. I have hated her for almost 40 f'g years since I saw this when I was a kid.

(Okay, okay, I know she was just an actress playing a role, and she musta done a goddamned good job of it to make me continue to feel such intense, visceral hatred even after 40 years, but still.)

I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

She was a bull dyke. And wearing a sun visor, aka "bitchwear".

LOL-just re-watching it last night and I had the EXACT same reaction. In a way, I hated her even more than Turner...Turner was a d**k, but at least I understood WHY (ultra competitive, macho, etc.) but Cleveland was just a mean-spirited bitch...

I couldn't stand her character! She and Vic Morrow did a great job in their roles as adults involved little league who take things way to seriously! I've seen people like her character in real life. They hav no jobs and far too much time on their hands so they get involved with community things such as little league and take them over!

I agree--a combination of good writing, directing and acting. Kudos to Morrow and Van Patten

Of course, Buttermaker gets the last word when she presents him with the tiny
second-place trophy and he tells her, "Thank you, sir."

I'm not crying, you fool, I'm laughing!

Hewwo.
