In the past, the BAFTAs basically awarded actors, directors and even screenwriters for a body of work rather than just individual achievement. Examples, Robert Towne won the 1975 BAFTA for Best Screenplay for two films, The Last Detail and Chinatown-- Jack Nicholson won Best Actor for both those films as well. The same year Sidney Lumet was nominated for directing both Serpico and Murder on the Orient Express.

But it's still IMDB's fault. They should write:
"Nominated
BAFTA Film Award
Best Actor Walter Matthau
(also for The Sunshine Boys)"
IMDb used to write it as "also for (x movie)" but they changed it to just "for (x movie)" for some dumb reason.
