Because it looked like she had a pretty good arm.

I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

No way. If you watch closely, you never actually see her releasing the ball (they always cut to a behind the back shot).

You can absolutely see her throwing the ball on a number of occasions. The first time is when she's in her tube top and skirt and soon after she's in a game clearly throwing the ball herself. I'm watching it right now.

There were a number of scenes where we saw the pitcher from the back and it was obvious it was a boy, in a wig, throwing the ball. The hair was different.

But that doesn't take anything away from the movie for me. I still love the movie.

Not true she was a real life ball player who WROTE the script based on her experience playing a pitcher on a BOYS team.

It was her vehicle.

She also wrote Paper Moon.

In an interview she stated that she had 3 months of heavy duty pitching lessons.

She later played for the Anaheim Angels, and pitched quite a few games.
