No parental advisory

Just saw this movie on a French state TV channel. It was aired at 10:30 p.m. without any parental advisory or whatsoever. Is it the same in other countries? Because it is seriously explicit. A rating "not recommended for children under 12" seems the minimum I think...

There was a warning before the showing of both the film and the following documentary. Arte usually never "pollutes" the screen with an age logo during the broadcasting of a film though.
Also when pressing the "Info" button of your TV remote, you could see a "16" age warning near the title.

I agree with first response to the OP. There was, just before the actual screening of 22:45 on Arte channel (Jan. 28th), a short warning on screen saying this film is "érotique" and has explicit sex scenes.
Maybe the reason why there was not much warnings in the TV listings is because they reprogrammed it at the last minute, as an homage to Oshima, who died on Jan. 15th.

French rating: "Film interdit aux moins de 16 ans lors de sa sortie en France".

Well, surely a responsible parent would ensure that any child under the age of 12 would be safely in bed and, therefore, nowhere near the television when this film was being shown? I'm just playing devil's advocate, but nonetheless, the point is valid.

Plus, this film is a masterpiece of Japanese cinema. Those same children that aren't watching it now (for good and obvious reasons) should once they're older and more mature, as should everyone of age, really. It's unmissable!
