" Look, there's two women fuc*ing a polar bear!" - Fear And Loathing in Las Vegas 1998

reply

Last Tango in Paris

(has been accused of pornography)

"What if there is no tomorrow? there wasn't one today...!"

reply

Caligola (1979)

Caligola IS porn. Not because it has real sex in it, but because it is... well, just porn. Porn is nigh impossible to define, but once you see it, you know. If nothing else PENTHOUSE Productions should have given it away.

Most explicit non-porn films?
"Shortbus" (see, that had real sex and wasn't porn)
"Irreversible"
"Salo"
"Crash" (1996)
"The Cook, the Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover"

But the first three especially.

Those films you've mentioned are hardly explicit. I think you should break out of the Hollywood film sector and explore world cinema, then you'll see the meaning of explicit. The American market (US) are generally more sensitive about violence and sexual acts being shown on non-pornographic films than the rest of the world, that's why their final cuts on films are usually more significant.

reply

hahahaha,c'mon, those emanuelle movies shouldn't even be mentioned here, the arguments suck, cheap crap, great looking girls thoug.lol

reply

emanuelle in america is unbelievably graphic. Not the same emmanuelle you are thinking of.
baise moi also
bare behind bars

reply

hahaha, ooops, sorry there, I saw the crappy version then, there were really hot girls in it though.

So who directs this "emmanuelle in america"? is it worth watching?

reply

But Emanuelle in America is porn.

reply

sex and lucia
twentyninepalms
the lover
Henry and June
Last Tango in Paris
Lunacy
Shortbus

I guess that most here don't understand the difference between frontal nudity and explicit. Maybe I don't.
I guess, by saying "explicit"....I assumed that the post was regarding real graphic sex involving penetration or real sexual situations.
Baise Moi (France), Caligula (Penthouse), 9 Songs (Ireland), Devil in The Flesh (Italy or Spain?), Shortbus (Canada), Le Pornagraphe (France), Brown Bunny (a joke) are ones for sure. Movies like Last Tango in Paris, The Lover, Mulholland Drive and many others......are full frontal but not explicit in the most understood sense of the term.
Then again, I'm not American and I guess that it's different in the States.

From reading the boards here at IMDB it would seem most americans think there is absolutely no difference between 'topless' and 'nude' either.
