Favourite Quincy episode?

I was well chuffed to find that Quincy was being repeated again on UK TV, after changing channels, it's now on ITV1. My grandad got me watchig this show on weekday afternoons. My fave episode was the one where he investigates the mysterious plane crash.

I'm ploughing my way through the DVDs after not watching the series for years, so I'm basing this on the first few seasons only.

The one I keep revisiting is Double Death - less so for the primary story, although that's interesting in its own right - but more for the interplay between Asten and Quincy which unexpectedly leads Asten to quit, albeit temporarily.

It must also mark one of the few times that Quincy is actually kinda wrong about the cause of death. and he's less yelly than usual. But as I think I've said before, this one belongs to John Ragin, who is given a chance to shine in this episode.

I also like the one with the kidnapped kid down the hole, although the way they found him was slightly goofy (sunflowers! sap!) - but the time-limit factor on this one worked well.

Special mention also to Snake Eyes, Requiem for the Living, Even Odds and I have a soft spot for Two Sides of Truth, as one of the ones I remember from the original run. I also like A Star Is Dead from the very early episodes - the plot about paparazzi is still very relevant today.

The one where they recreated a woman's face with clay from her skull...does anyone know which episode that is?

There was an episode where they did that with a Man's skull in S3 - Passing, was it?

"Dying For A Drink" was my fave.

"Scream To The Skies" and "An Act Of Violence".

I always liked the one with Jessica Walter as the TV celebrity who "dies" in that apartment fire.

But I also really like the one where Quincy solves the cold case murder after finding the thigh bone. I think that was the first one?

Marriage is between one man and one woman, to the exclusion of all others.

reply

Mine was the Bruce Lee inspired murder.
