Favourite Quincy episode?

I was well chuffed to find that Quincy was being repeated again on UK TV, after changing channels, it's now on ITV1. My grandad got me watchig this show on weekday afternoons. My fave episode was the one where he investigates the mysterious plane crash.

My favorite is when the Mafia Don kidnaps Quincy and they debate about his mafia lifestyle and all that.

My favorite of all time has to be D.U.I.. I remember seeing it when I was young and thinking I wanted to marry Quincy because he was so smart.

New poster here!

D.U.I. is one of my favorites too. It is a clever mystery with a strong message about weak DUI laws that is still relevant today.

Other favorites:

"Snake Eyes" (Christie-like mystery full of suspense and intriguing characters)

"Requiem for the Living"

There are two episodes with Ina Balin that I also liked - "Dying for a Drink" and the one where she plays Quincy's psychotic but brilliant ex-girlfriend.

"Next Stop, No Where"

"Seldom Silent, Never Heard" (dealing with Tourettes's syndrome which must have been unusual for a primetime show)

There are many other episodes dealing with sensitive social issues like incest, alcoholism, drugs, abuse and corruption in general that I liked both for the story and the underlying message. Sure, the idea that Quincy could "save the world", so to speak, is simplistic at times, but I have never had a problem with television rising to address relevant social issues that need our attention. One wonders what issues the show would address today were it still in production.

There are so many great ones and I haven't seen a Quincy in at least 10 years when they used to show them on A&E. The ones that stick in my mind are

Quincy finds the old lady mummies in an attic. A humorous episode.

Quincy does work with downs syndrome kids. Colleen Dewhurst guest starrred.

Quincy helps a kid with torret's syndrome. I think it was a two parter or an episode with a follow up episode the following season.

Sam gets poisoned by the snake.

The episodes with Ina Balin and Tyne Daly.

The ones where quincy and sam get trapped in a jail during a riot. I think it was a double episode. Me and my flatmates used to say quincy could appeal to anyone. He was a jewish guy (i think) playing an irish guy whose best mate was japanese and when he needed to he could speak jive. Plus he was a wow with the ladies.

I also like the nazi episode and the one with the paranoid schizophrenic.
An amazing show i'd love to see the feature length ones as one hour with klugman just ain't enough. Probably my fave crime show although columbo runs a close second. Just saw the punk episode. So good

Ending to "Snake Eyes" is great.

Maybe Cozi or Me-TV can pick up Quincy because my memory is fading, because I have not seen it in so long.

Memories of Allison-Sharon Acker is running in a panic from someone and falls down the escalator in front of Quincy and Sam. Wakes in the hospital with amnesia. Quincy sets out to find out what is causing her amnesia. Ends up she testified and against her shady boss had cosmetics surgery to change her looks and was put in Witness protection but was found.

Some good ones mentioned already. I like the "murder mystery" or medical crisis type ones the best.
"Snake Eyes" (the one in Lake Tahoe with the poisonings by the hero complex doctor to impress his wife)
"Slow Boat To Madness" (cruise ship)

Some more not yet mentioned:
"Smoke Screen" (about arson- and it turns out that the kid, though a firebug before, was framed in an insurance scam)
"Deadly Arena" (botulism at a stadium)
"Go Fight City Hall to the Death" (the first episode, and an idea of what the show was originally supposed to be, a forensic crime drama)

I liked the punk rock episode as a goof when I was a kid.

Picking a favorite Quincy episode is almost like picking a favorite child.

"Gone But Not Forgotten" - A recluse's former employee, upon being released from prison for a hit-and-run he took the rap for, is accused of the recluse's murder.
