How Old Are the Fans?

I'm sure that the majority of QME's viewership do not post here, but if you are a Quincy fan, post your age here. I'm 37 and watched QME during its original run.

I'm 44 and I watched it during its' original 1976-1983 run on NBC TV here in the USA and I have been lucky enough to have met Jack Klugman at a book signing, too!
I have watched the series on DVD a lot, too. It's one of the all-time great TV series. Here is the link to my photo with Jack: http://www.flickr.com/photos/stalzz64/59841177/

He couldn't have been nicer.

Jack looks great, stalzz! Thanks for posting this. (Oh, and so do you BTW. :-))

For the record, I'm 49, and got hooked on the Quinster while in college. Guess I'm the old gal here. The funny thing is I don't feel old!

About to turn 36...and I love Quincy, Starsky and Hutch, the Rockford Files, Kojak...all the oldies!!

Ahh you're the wo fat fan. I knew you're name looked familiar lol. I"m also 37. I watched a little bit with my parents during it's initial run then watched again in the early 90's when it aired. A few years ago I bought the whole series and I loved it more now than ever

I'm 38 and I really loved watching the series when it first aired.

I was a student in the UK from 1994 to 1997. The BBC showed Quincy on weekday afternoons, creating a whole new generation of fans in the process. The show can now be seen on one of the ITV channels during the night.

I'm 32. Started watching Quincy in reruns when I was a teenager. Glad some of the episodes are on dvd because they don't always show Quincy on the local channels.

reply

32 at the mo too. First got into it watching re runs at university in the mid-late 90's. Me and a flatmate used to run home between lectures to get the cheap lunch deal at the take away we lived above and watch quincy with lunch. Still love the show and have just bought season 1 and 2 on dvd yesterday. Can't wait to see the longer episodes. I've seen some episodes dozens of times but great rewatch due to the chemistry between quincy, sam, astin and danny et al.

I live in the uk. Its on itv3 everyday at about 9 am ish and also on saturdays. Brill

I'm 39, although people often think I am in my twenties. I guess I look young, knock on wood lol

I watched the show during it's original run in the 1970's and 1980's when i was a little boy. I also watched the reruns later, with a mutual fan, when the show went into syndication. I'm watching it right now here in Los Angeles on KDOC-TV.

The episodes that always stuck out in my mind was the one where Quincy mentions "flow mechanics" and the one where he takes on punk rockers. I remember when i was the 5th grade in 1979/1980, alot of kids talked about that episode. Quincy was our hero and he still is!

Hi.. Looks like I'm the "oldie" here. I was 26 when the series debuted and found it to be both entertaining and educational. I was studying Medical Terminology at the time and Quincy M.E., was a much better teacher than books. Sadly, It's not playing anywhere here in the San Francisco Bay Area that I know of... sure would like to see again. Jack Klugman mentioned at one time doing a Quincy move... looks like it's never gonna happen. Closet he got seems to be on Crossing Jordon where he played a retired ME. Any other "oldies" out there?

reply

I'm 32.
