For some reason I thought this was the only movie...

...that got the theology of the Bible right. I can't imagine why I thought that.

When that one woman told Corrie that she wanted Him -- the Jesus that Corrie had -- and wanted to know "how," that's essentially the exact same question the Phillippian Jailer asked of Paul and Silas when they'd been singing hymns and praying in prison after the jailer had beaten them. Corrie supposedly read the Bible, so why didn't she just give that woman the same answer Paul gave the jailer: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved."

Instead she said, "Ask." No, not "Ask." BELIEVE. Trust that He did it all and that all you have to do is believe it.
