Remake

I have read the book and watched the movie,I loved the book but the movie doesn't seem to do it justice,so much has been left out from the book. I would like very much to see a remake of this movie.

So would I. I carry pieces of that book in my heart to get me through bad times. But the movie I barely remember, because it was SO unremarkable compared to the book. Even Julie Harris was relatively unremarkable in it.

Haven't seen the movie, but the book is one of my all time favourites. It would be really hard to do justice to the book. It's true with many books, but especially this one. The magic of a book is that it takes place inside the reader's imagination - so the experience is different for everyone, and I think it tends to make things more real to each person.

I would too. Can imagine what a great movie this would make if it was produced true to the book?

Love the movie - never read the book, but based on the above comments I think I will hunt it down and read it.
