Marble Faun
I haven't read the Marble Faun and I want to know why Little Edie called Jerry the Marble Faun.

she called jerry that because she felt he was a tragic figure.
Why would she think Jerry was a tragic figure?
I think she was calling Jerry the marble faun simply because he looked like the statue, the marble Faun of Praxiteles, that features in the book (The Marble Faun) she mentioned early on. With the big curly hair Jerry had, there was a great resemblance.
When she mentioned tragedy, I believe she was describing the story in the book as a tragedy. Not Jerry himself.
She did say in the documentary she felt pity for him so I'm not sure what she referring to there.
