Little Edie Was Insanely HOT As Young (Pictures)

A TRUE hottie, but obviously she was held back by her CLEARLY jealous mother. I see no crazy tendensies with Little Edie at all, apart from behaving as a result of having been isolated by her mother, secluded, alone. Alone with your thoughts with no one sane to talk to for so many years, ANYONE in a similar situation would be considered somewhat peculiar.

I absolutely concur on all counts. If you listen to her voice only, she seems fairly sane; it's the visual components (ramshackle mansion/eccentric style of dress) that are jarring.
And yes, she was smokin' in her youth; Jackie and Lee Bouvier looked up to her as a beauty icon.

Helga, I'm not mad at you; I'm mad at the dirt.

She had earned the nickname "Body Beautiful" as a young woman - and rightfully so - although I've always found Jackie's darker, more mysterious appearance more alluring.

She was stunning and could have attracted many eligible men if her mother hadn't gotten her nails into her. What a shame.

It wasn't all her mother, I think Little Edie had some of her own issues as a young woman. Of course, once things got bad for her mother, Edie's fate was sealed.

I'll take Punctuality

Of course it wasn't all her mother. It takes two to tango.

I agree with you OP. Little Edie was a gorgeous, eccentric and talented woman. She had a eye for fashion, and her style has been mimicked by top designers worldwide. I also believe that Little Edie was quite beautiful at age 56 in the documentary. I don't know how many of us could look so good (isolated in such a manner), and still have such a lovely figure and face, while pulling together stylish and creative ensembles.

She was a true revolutionary!

Couldn't agree more. I also couldn't believe she was 56 in that documentary. She still looked great to me. I am 30 and I already know I'm not going to look as beautiful as she did in her 50's. She is very mesmerizing as well both in her personality and her presence in this documentary.
