THIS FILM IS ON FLIX THIS MONTH

Yes it seems to be showing a lot more lately, which is very good.

Saw it just recently on Flix and loved the film. So many great character actors in this one, something about the grittiness on the 70's really helped propel the story along.

Also loved the concluding confrontation between Charlotte Rampling, Jack O'Halloran and Robert Meacham, played to the hilt, good stuff!

The way I see it, is that we weren't retreating, we were just attacking in a new direction.

Thank you for your comments, I am really glad the film is playing so much. It is really a very good film that has stood the length of time. A true classic!!

I love the musical score - it is so powerful in a bitter-sweet way. It really underlined the contradictions in Moose - a brutal giant with a romantic soul that 'his Velma' could touch alone... The King Kong analogy Marlowe used was spot on.

I watched FML on FLIX last night and it was shown in widescreen. The print looked very good, too.

Jack O'Halloran, if you're reading this, the suit you wore in the film is much more stylish than the one that Chandler describes in the novel! Consider yourself lucky! If they had dressed you in the original suit, people would think it was because FML was made in the 1970s! I'll try and post Chandler's description of Moose malloy's attire later.

It was great seeing FML again.

i'm watching it now on Netflix instantly via my Xbox360...w/the color turned off so it's in B&W(as per my other post)-B&W fits the film perfect...looks like it was made during the classic film-noir period
