I don't think this is one of Eastwoods best efforts but damn it has some of the best and funniest lines ever committed to film. Politically incorrect screenwriting at its best

Thank you! I watched it last night and can't believe it's considered one of Eastwood's poorest films. Some of the dialogue is sparkling.

"Why don't you train up Pope? He should be ready in about 40 years"   

A lot of it is from the book, read it- its better than the movie.
