Was Pacino convincing as a homosexual?

This is one of my favorite Pacino performances but I don't know if I bought the homosexual aspect of his character. I could tell he was still a pussy fiend.

That's all explained in William Friedkin's 1980 documentary "Cruising", in which Al Pacino talks about his repressed homosexuality, and the latent violence resulting from it and the stress from his very demanding job at the time.

I'm not sure if you're totally making this up as a trolling gesture, or if you actually believe this horseshit. I invite you to submit proof this documentary exists. You can't do it because it never happened. Pacino has been mum on Cruising for over 40 years.

"This story is entirely true, since I imagined it from start to finish"

Have you seen Friedkin's film "Cruising" though? It's not "really" a documentary, but it's quite good.

Pacino grew a handlebar mustache that he wore to his performance. I suppose this was one of the styles most of us didn't know about during the time. After shooting, he admitted to himself that it was wrong. I think one of the Village People used it tho haha.

Homosexuals don't all camp it up and lisp. They appear in all postures, demeanors, and manners of speech and gesture. You probably walk past a dozen every day and don't know it.

But can you imagine Pacino's character kissing another man? There's an undertone to most gay men. He still came across as very much straight.
