Has anyone seen the trailer posted here at IMDB?

This trailer had a much more heroic, serious-minded musical score, plus a mucf deeper, more straight-up (no pun intended!) voice-over?

No Frank De Vol rip-off of John Phillip Sousa's music!

No silly lyrics by Don Black!

No rocket-propelled fishing lures to undermine or camp up the narrative!

It is truly amazing what these minor changes for this trailer can transform the look of this film which reinforce, not undermines, Ron Ely's charistmatic presence!

Having seen another, far more campier version of the Doc Savage movie trailer on YouTube briefly before it was pulled for legal reasons, I strongly suspect that there was indeed a much more serious, straight-forward version of Doc Savage: The Man of Bronze, as has been speculate by other posters at this message board.

It is really ashame that the decision-makers (not George Pal) did not have the guts or foresight to back up this project the way that Pal intended it to be. Had they done so, they might have anticipated the forthcoming wave that Star Wars and Indiana Jones so successfully rode.
