So many bad sequels!

I don't get it? Even Friday The 13th has so many fan favorite sequels. Yet this series is filled with nothing but crap. Aside from the 2003 remake and it's fairly decent 2006 prequel, there hasn't been many good films. The last three have been pretty terrible. Texas Chainsaw 3D, Leatherface, and the 2022 requel all sucked. The first sequel from 1986 was at least decent and tried something new, at the time. When even Halloween has way more better sequels than this franchise, you know you have done fucked up.

I like the very dark "demented as fuck" campy stuff with the Sawyers, but too bad the execution is very poor in almost every sequel. It almost comes off as dark comedy, yet it's still very serious in the original.

The 2022 requel even lazily rehashed the ending from the 2006 prequel by having Leatherface kill the remaining two survivors. At least the 2009 Friday The 13th remake made it cool when Jason did that.
