Best Drive-In Horror Movie Experiences

A lot of these flicks I never got the chance
to see at the drive-in theater or
indoor movie theater do to not being born yet
but I heard a lot of great stories from my dad
and other people seeing these type of movies
playing at the local drive-in movie theater.

My only drive-in horror experiences was
The Boogeyman and The Devil's Rejects
from 2005. Boogeyman sucked, Rejects
was dope actually the best kind of horror
movie to see at the drive-in especially
the movie being set in the 70s.

What are your best drive-in horror
experiences from the 60s 70s 80s and even
90s?

We still have an operating drive-in near me that I go to from time to time but it shows mainstream films. The audience hardly watches the films, though. The local teens seem to use the area to congregate since their parents probably don't want everyone over at their house. As a result, it's hard to pay attention to anything because teens are walking in front of your car constantly going back and forth to each other's vehicles and sitting on their hoods talking. It's like they pay the $4.50 (the price of admission) to have a place to meet up. As a result, the last movie I saw there was I am Legend. I might go back if they ever show a horror film.

I would love to go to a drive-in very much. Unfortunately I don't think I'll ever get a chance. Instead, I just sit and watch old, cheap horror movies and pretend my television screen is a drive-in. In other words, I go to an imaginary drive-in theater.

There is a drive in theater in Fort Lauderdale on Sunrise Blvd. Its not far at all

In interesting you should say that because I saw it this past July on Friday the 13th at a drive-in. It was my first time seeing the film and also my first time at a drive-in.

I saw Scanners at the drive in when I was about 12 or so. Everyone knew about the head exploding scene and cheered when it happened, lol. We were a sick bunch of kids.

I saw TCM a few times.

Mother's Day in 1980 is something I remember very well.
