Half an hour into the movie I noticed that director Ronald Neame must have been really relieved that lamps were so big in the 70s. Everytime someone's moving around an office or an interior, they share the wide-screen with another huge lamp, or lmap shade. very strange.
shareYeah all the lamps ruined it for me. Ever since the creation of controllable electricity, people have been overusing lamps. It makes me sick and i've had enough.

shareI guess you'll have to look at whoever did the lighting, but they may have been going for an effect. Moving in and out of pools of light works pretty well on the screen.
