Best Actor: Art Carney
I don't think THE HONEYMOONERS was ever broadcast in Puerto Rico, so H&T didn't do much business until Carney won the Best Actor Oscar. Then newspapers ran full page ads with Carney's smiling face and, under it: MEJOR ACTOR: ART CARNEY. The public went to see it in droves; they loved Carney and fellow Oscar winner Dan George, and felt very sad when that beautiful cat died. How did other foreign countries like the film?
