truly great film of the 1970's

The great story line of an old man trying to live out his almost waning days interacting with the 'Younger generation'. His exploring the country, meeting an old love and dealing with his adult children .All with the company of his beloved companion. The 1970's story line, acting and directing are all hallmarks of this era of film making.

I agree! I grew up in the 70's (as a twenty-something) and it was a memorable time- for life, movies & music. The films today just don't compare. Cagney delivered a wonderful performance- it was so real- and Tonto also finds a place in your heart as his constant companion.

A truly emotional and wonderful film that hasn't aged a bit.
