Earlier this year when I read the book, I got so bored that I picked up the novel "The Dragon Factory" by Jonathan Mayberry. Didn't care if my grade in American Lit. class plummeted, but still passed the class. All in all, absolute crap.

Agreed. The Great Gatsby is a good example of the many books they make kids read in school that only end up making them hate reading.

Boring and meaningless.

The book is full of meaningful lessons, first you have to actually comprehend it.
