mother kissing her son (sexual intentions?)

in the movie there's one unsettling scene where the mother is kissing (passionately...with sexual intentions) her little 5 years old son (not sure of age), i find this scene extremely disturbing.

sure she's possessed and all and while it might portrait un unstable mind going weirdo i think the scene is disturbing enough because in our world pedophilia is a sad reality.

thankfully it's a movie, but still im not sure how the hell did they allow a scene like this. meh

ha ha yeah, that was pretty odd, but one of the better scenes in a movie I found to be dull overall.

Have you seen Schock a.k.a. Beyond the Door II? In it, little David Colin Jr. gets his revenge. He's dry-humpin his mama and stealin her underwear!

Future posts such as these will affect you in the future!

I think she was having a flashback then thinking Ken was an exboyfriend, possibly Dimitri since the director never intended to explain Jessica and Dimitri's relationship.

reply

I always interpreted the kiss as the first act of the Devil possessing Ken, which goes full-blown at the end of the movie.

reply

Maybe, but then the Devil was everywhere in that flick.

reply

True, but the Devil ultimately winds up in Ken. Remember the final frame of action.

reply

Kind've thought that Ken was a reject from Children Of The Damned. LOL,but seriously he looked like a wannabe Child of the Damned at the end.

SPOILERS

I freaking knew it.

As soon as I saw that scene I thought that if the movie were made now a bunch of people would say it's perverted, pedophilic or something or that they'd say that anyway.

It might or might not have had anything to do with the spirit entering the kid but what's sexual about it?

You said (passionately...with sexual intentions) - How the hell would you know? I didn't see what you did.

Why the hell can't a parent or someone close to a child show affection like that? Are they sucking their pee or their titty? Are they sticking appendages into crevices?

No.

There's nothing sexual about it and it isn't weird, except to you.

You're seeing *beep* where there is nothing.

Loons.

You wouldn't dare!

It couldn't have been more obviously a non-innocent kiss. Did you not notice the mother's hesitation before she did it? When you kiss a kid on the mouth, do you linger? If you can't tell where an innocent kiss ends and a sexual kiss begins, maybe you shouldn't kiss kids.

reply

No-it's intentionally sexual, and deviant. It's the Devil, not Jessica Barrett, doing the work, remember? The way that this film is designed to scare you is by a series of slow, unexpected, shocking gestures. This one is the turning point where it becomes clear that there is something blatantly wrong with "mommy".

reply

Of course it was intentional. Some folks are paranoid about recognizing disturbing themes and so retreat into denial. The last kiss was blatantly romantic in character.
