Scary Anniversary!
I first caught this movie on cable when I was about 14 years old. Needless to say, I could not forget it. And so much better than Gary Busey's "Hider in the House," which no doubt owes its origins to this movie.
Anyway, fast forward 3 years - 17 years old. I was digging through a desk drawer looking for a metal ruler, and accidentally came across a copy of my parents' divorce decree, which I had never seen before in my life. Just there waiting for me, out of nowhere. I had probably looked right past it a thousand times before.
Upon reading this wonderful document, I learned that the 10th anniversary of my parents' divorce would be the day after my 18th birthday!!!!
Suffice to say, I was terrified. I spent the whole day on my birthday just being sure not to "play the dozens" or get in any "cut down wars" with any mouthy neighborhood girls... I felt much better after the clock struck midnight at the end of an uneventful day! Ever since, this movie has held a special place in my heart.
Does anyone else share the "Bad Ronald" anniversary like that?
