Can't they hear Ronald flushing the toilet behind the walls?
It's never explained.
shareHe just squats over that hole he cut in the floor.
Nope. Nobody ever goes to the bathroom in movies or TV shows. Oh, sometimes they say they have to go, but they really don't.

I read the book and there Ronald flushes the toilet when somebody upstairs flushes the toilet, so it always goes unnoticed.
The one thing that amazed me much more was the fact how often Ronald eats their food (leftovers or egg supplies and particularly milk) and the family doesn't really pay much attention and blames each other for doing it.
Nobody ever goes to the bathroom in movies or TV showsHa Ha I like that answer, and was wondering the same thing having seen this as a kid in 1974 and just downloaded it now. Only major thing that goes unexplained - where/how does Ronald take a dump/piss, why doesn't anyone smell him or how does he dispose of his waste without anyone noticing? I guess Marcia Brady never took a dump either (cuz Greg was too busy with his hair). share
Yeah, in the book, he only flushes once he hears the upstairs toilet flush. His mom trained him to do it and they practiced it while she was still alive, and she made him always follow that rule, even when they thought it was safe.
shareDid he wash his clothes in the sink?
