Most of you are too young enjoy the irony!! They chose the actors who played the pilots, who played the opposite roles in an earlier movie.
In the other one Dana Andrews was the airliner pilot who survived the crash of the jet piloted by Efrem Zimbalist, Jr.!!!
I loved "The crowded Sky", and I did enjoy the irony of the switch. It also made me think of Dana saving the day in "Zero Hour" and how he wasn't going to save the day in "Airport 1975".
