Has anyone seen this one even though it was banned because they say it copied the Exorcist? If you think about it, there are many films that copy the Exorcist, ex: Amityville 2: The Curse, Cathy's Curse, The Antichrist, and many more.
How are you doing? I haven't seen this movie, but I would love too. My mother tells me about it all the time. I love horror movies my self so I can relate. Where did you purchase it?
Where are you from? I live in Maryland, and there is a guy who also lives in Maryland that sells movies that you can purchase. He has a website which is www.trashpalace.com. You can call him directly at (301)698-9556. His e-mail address is [email protected]. The address is p.o. box 1972 dept. web Frederick, Md. 21702-0972 USA. I am 21 and I have been watching horror ever since I was four, and your mother was right about this movie (it is really good). Just take a look at trash palace's website and you can see most of the movies he has. Don't forget to reply back. This is where I purchased Abby from because the guy somehow found a copy of this movie and he just keeps on copying and selling the movie and it is pretty clear. I remember buying it about three years ago for $10.00 plus shipping and handling. I have bought quite a few movies from this guy and he is good to deal business with. He has a lot of the best horror movies, so don't forget to check out his website.
Something ya'll might find interesting about this movie is the cave scene. That scene was actually filmed in a town very close to where I am from (the Louisville, KY area). That scene was filmed in Marengo Caves (www.marengocave.com) in Marengo, Indiana. I was actually there not too long ago. I loved it!!! I had been there before. I would suggest you go. Also, if you like caves you should also visit Wyndotte Caves and Squire Boon Caverns... also in the area. Marengo and Wyndotte are in Crawford County, Indiana (aka. "Cave County") which is a "hot bed" of caves! I have heard that some people in the Maregno area have even found sinkholes leading caves in there back yards! How cool is that?! Man, can ya'll imagine the kick azz parties you could have in a cave??? Anywho...... if you ever go up that way go in the summer and do the Cave County Canoes (and Kyaks, hehe) thing on the Blue River (bases at Milltown and Leavenworth)... that is AWESOME!!! I've done it and I loved it! Just thought ya'll might be interested to know all of these factoids!

"Parfaits just might be the best damn thing on Earth!" Donkey from shrek
I used to have a cave in a wooded area, but it was really just a place that was eroded under tree roots....still pretty cool 'cave' though! Thanks for the site - www.marengocave.com - so, the film 'Abby' was filmed there? Cool!
I really don't know...I recall the ads for it, but it seems to have been banned for some reason...is it gross? I'll tell you a good copy of the Exorcist: BEYOND THE DOOR 1975, look it up, it's wicked scary!
"The Film in which you are about to see is an account of a tragedy that befell a group of 5 youths"
My husband just got a bunch of dvds off eBay and I was surprised to see ABBY is one of them, so I guess it is now on DVD . The reason it was pulled from theatres is that the makers of EXORXIST claimed it was a rip-off (Isnt that funny...now EVERYTHING gets ripped off and nobody blinks!)
I havent watched it yet, but will report back when I do.
Just saw "Abby" last night, and it was kind of fun. I felt the movie got a bit jumbled toward the end. I can't believe Warner Bros. went after this movie! - There really isn't much material in "Abby" that can be compared to "The Exorcist!" There are a few incidental touches in "Abby" that reminded me a bit of "The Exorcist" ("help Abby" written on the mirror, etc.), but there are a lot of differences.
Aww c'mon! The ending was the best part! I generally like this movie, I thought it was a good horror film! Of course it was never meant to copy the original Exorcist. Warner Brothers was just quite stupid for going after this movie! Universal did not go after Blacula did they? Nope! Didn't think so!
We can DO IT ALLLL DAY LONG, (We'll have to pay more for the light bill if we do it at night!)
I just finished watching this movie for the first time and it was loads of fun to watch. I had a blast viewing it and found it extremely enjoyable. I agree that it is silly of Warner Brothers to file a lawsuit against the film. I don't think it was that similar to begin with, but even if it was, if you have imitators you must be doing something right. It would be like the makers of Paranormal Activity suing the makers of The Last Exorcism. Tons of films are ripped off and nobody sues.
I'm a big fan of American International Pictures. I think movie could have been alot better, but because it was a "black movie" they allowed the production values to be the absolute minimum. If fact, I don't believe AIP produced this movie, I believe they were hired to distribute it.
