I swear I remember an episode where Captain Marvel teams up with Wonder Woman. Am I imagining it? IMDB lists no credit for Linda Carter ever appearing on the show.
Also, WAY back when there was a DC Superheros get-together--a one night special. I'm pretty sure Captain Marvel was in it. The Flash certainly was. Anyone remember the name?
You are confusing shows. There were crossovers between Captain Marvel and Isis, since both shows were produced by Filmation. The special you refer to is Legends of the Super Heroes, which featured Captain Marvel, but not Wonder Woman. Huntress and Black Canary appeared in these specials, of which there were two. The first special featured an "adventure", pitting the heroes against a group of villains, including Dr. Sivana, Sinestro,Solomon Grundy, and others. The second special was a roast and was even more awful than the first. The heroes included Adam West and Burt Ward as Batman and Robin, Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkman, Black Canary, Huntress, Captain Marvel, and Atom (although I don't remember seeing anyone in that costume, but he is listed in the cast on IMDB). Frank Gorshin played the Riddler, Howard Morris (Any Griffith Show and Sid ceasar shows) was Sivana, Charlie Callas was awful as Sinestro, and Jeff Altman was the Weather Wizard.
Linda Carter, as Wonder Woman, never appeared with any other heroes, except Debra Winger as Wonder Girl.
Wow. I guess the mind really does play tricks on you over the years. I was sure it was Wonder Woman. I don't even remember this "Isis" show, but I clearly remember watching the episode of Shazam where "she" (Isis, apparently) shows up, and as a kid recognizing her immediately. All these years I thought it was Wonder Woman.
Debra Winger played wonder girls. Wonder womans (Diana Prince's younger siser, from Paradise Island. She is sent to the U.S. to give a message to Diana, That the 2000th anniversary of their arrival on paradise Island is up and comming ant that their monther "The Queen" expects her home for the celebration. As expected, trouble arises, and at one point, Debra winger realizes that she probably has the same capabilities of changing into a "Wonder-type Woman/Girl. so she very clumbsily gets a twirl going, and sure enough..... thunderclap, and a hot new outfit. this can all be seen in: The Adventures of Wonder Woman, the complete 1st season. she makes two appearences as Wonder Girl during the season.
Oh....I remember ISIS. It was a favorite of mine in the mid 70's, but only ran a short time. Then Wonder Woman came along (no confusions or comparisons here at all)
