That door to the trailer. Ever heard of a peephole?

This was a great show. I enjoy how many of these cases blow up on Rockford and he becomes a target

The only annoying thing is how many times Rockford open his trailer at night only to be confronted by criminals, often armed

Was this lazy writing where they didn't want to find a way fkr him to be lured somewhere and ambushed, etc? It becomes unintentionally funny the 10th time you think "maybe he should get a peephole and see who it is first"

reply

Rockford probably couldn't afford a peephole.

Spenser with an "S", like the poet.

I was surprised that he had the door open outwards. That would mean that the hinges would be on the outside and easier for someone to remove it and get into trailer.

Annoying the world since 1960!

Yeah, I wonder about twice per episode why there's no peephole and/or why he opens the door without putting the chain bolt on (even though he does have one of those) and/or why he opens the door without even asking who's there. When he just opens the door, you can be certain it's a bad guy out there!

Never noticed that his door opens "the wrong way" (outward) -- but according to this article https://thespacebetweenblog.net/outswinging-door/ , that's required on trailers, and therefore they have special hard-to-remove hinges.

Plenty of people put in peep-holes for him (with gunfire), but Rocky kept blocking them back up.
