Charles Nelson Reilly as Dennis Becker
Would've complemented Patrick Duffy as Jim Rockford very nicely. Becker in an ascot.

shareLiberace as Lt. Chapman. Should go over well in West Hollywood.
shareRip Taylor as Jims dad Rocky. The answering machine messages Jim would now get.
shareThat would be the time for Jim to toss the machine off the pier.
sharePlus all the confetti all over the floor of his trailer every time Rocky came over there.
shareI'm not that familiar with Rip Taylor. I only saw him on that Cheech and Chong movie, but I got the gist of his sexual preference from The Simpsons.
shareBeth Davenport could be played by Rosie O'Donnell, Ellen DeGeneres or better yet,Raven Symone. I'll let you pick one.
We live as we dream - alone.
Robbie Rist as Richie Brockelman would have united the "Me Generation" like no event since the Stones at Altamont.

Wentworth Miller-www.imdb.com/name/nm0589505/reference
Annoying the world since 1960!
I'm with Fletcher, I never heard of these guys. Then I looked them up. I still never heard of these guys. I can't even give you a, "Oh, that guy!".
We live as we dream - alone.
Don't recognize them. Maybe a good thing?
shareI think Cousin Oliver did some detective work on the Brady Bunch with that tard Bobby they investigated Sam the butcher for being a spy. Sam sued them for false arrest. Oliver might've ended up jinxing the Files and it getting cancelled after six episodes.
shareCousin Oliver and Bobby's sleuthing days ended abruptly after they received a richly-deserved Mannix-Rockford-style beating, courtesy of some three-piece-suit-wearing thugs.
As for these actors of recent decades, I don't know who any of them are, and I won't be watching any Rockford remakes featuring them, either.
Oh, and today happens to be Charles Nelson Reilly AND Rip Taylor's birthday.
shareSince all the main characters are going to be played by recurring guests of the 70s Mike Douglas and Merv Griffin talk shows, who is Mason Reese going to play?
shareBomer and Miller would be good in 10-15 years but are too young now. Maybe they would be good for like a Maverick reboot. Obviously don't even want a reboot of any of the shows tbh

shareSo, I'm guessing you never heard of the shows "White Collar" and "Prison Break"?
Annoying the world since 1960!
I've heard of Prison Break, but never saw it. I don't have much enthusiasm for new shows. Seems every time I get into one it's cancelled within a season or two. The deplorable ones last forever.
share"Prison Break" ran for four seasons and there's talk of them doing a revival. Miller from "PB" now plays Captain Cold on "The Flash" and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow".
Annoying the world since 1960!
Never seen them.
The only shows I watch that are still in their original run are The Simpsons and Supernatural.
You got me beat, I only watch Sunday Morning. Does watching football count?
We live as we dream - alone.
Lol. I'm watching football right now. I don't they were referring to sports on this thread though.
shareOh well. I'm pretty sure they'll never cancel Sunday Morning. Or football either.
We live as we dream - alone.
Probably not.
Or the Kardashians either, unfortunately.
Aren't they the enemy of startship, The U.S.S. Enterprise. Short little alien people with huge ears. Am I wrong?
We live as we dream - alone.
Those freaks should be on their own pay channel. Then we wouldn't even have to look at them in passing. Only the much larger group of freaks (their viewers) who made them so damn popular.
shareOn a hot day Jim could have parked his trailer in the shade from Kim Kardashians ass.
shareI'm proud to say I don't know what any of their asses look like. Only that their fans are a bunch of asses.
The name of their godawful show is a title in irony - "Keeping up with...". It should be "Sinking down to....".
Fletch, I'm going out on a limb here and say, you don't like the Kardashians. Am I wrong?
Well, there is one good thing about them...anybody got an answer?
We live as we dream - alone.
They're not on a channel I watch,
I'm not around anyone that talks about them.
Well, there's two good things.
