Is this on DVD?
Somebody please let me know if this show is available on DVD. If it isn't, does anyone know when and if it is comming out. Rhoda is my favorite all time sitcom and would buy it in a heartbeat!

In the meantime, there were a few episodes released on VHS: two individual volumes from the beginning of the series (one containing episodes #1 and 2 and the other with episodes #3 and 4) and there was also a BEST OF RHODA box set with two episodes from each season (the first season episodes are represented by the two part Rhoda's Wedding episode). I have all of these and if you watch eBay they spring up there every now and then.
shareI have the slightest feeling that when the fifth season of "Mary Tyler Moore" is released we'll see the first season of "Rhoda."
shareMy good buddy Mike has been looking for this series for many years, the big problem is it seems to only be available in part in a best of VHS collection of 4 tapes.
Add to that the fact it is insanely expensive on Amazon. Hoping someone has it, or it's in a library somewhere so we can finally get our hands on this.

I voted for "Rhoda" at Tvshowsondvd.com as well! Everyone should. Also, everyone should also vote for "Phyllis" because I really want that on DVD and I fear it will never happen.
shareI like "Rhoda", but the two seasons of "Phyllis" were funnier than the four and a half seaons of Valerie Harper's show. I fear that we will never see a complete series of any MTM show on DVD.

They should finish the MTM seasons and realease them at the same time as Rhoda and Phyllis. They should just make bigger sets w/ double sided discs.
MTM season 5 + Rhoda volume 1 (episodes 1-55)
3-6 months later
MTM season 6 + Phyllis the complete series (episodes 1-48)
3-6 months later
mtm season 7 + Rhoda volume 2 (episodes 56-110)
I have just voted to release "Rhoda" on DVD also, so fingers crossed ....
But while I was on that site, I decided to check on one of my other favorite shows, also a MTM production - "Newhart". VT, not Chicago. And great news - it's being released on DVD on Feb. 26! I can only hope that "Rhoda" won't be far behind.
I would like this show to come out on DVD also. I have never seen it before but I heard it was great. I remember back in the 1990s when I first saw a commercial for this show. Years later, when I went to Virginia State University, I met a young lady named Rhoda.
It is coming on DVD in April

Entire series is available to watch on Youtube.
shareSeasons 1-4 were released on DVD (though many have said Season 1 is edited poorly) but they never were able to release season 5, due to 'legal stuff' as they said.

I'll never understand why "all" TV shows
(what exists from the late 40s up to today) are not simply put out on DVD.
I know they want to make money but come on....
TV (and radio)history is just as important in American History as regular history itself!

As with everything else in life, it all has to do with $$$$$$$$$$$$. Everyone involved with the shows know they are worth $$$ if the demand is for DVDs. That said, they all want a fair share of the money pie - and that drives up the cost of putting them on DVD.

Yeah,I know but still...I'd love to see
short lived wonders like, say,"Carter Country" (ABC 1976) on DVD.
Most especially,"Chico & THe Man",which only hasa WB
6 episode DVD,which i was lucky enough to buy for $1 about 5 years ago.
I am happy to say,my local library (where I am now) has 3 out of the 5 Seasons of "Hazel" (1961-1966),which I'd absolutely had never seen until this month. Good show.

Hazel's fourth season is also out on DVD and season 5, the final season, is being released this January.
