Back to Season 1, sort of (5/1)
On May 1, METV aired the second part episode of 'Rhoda Likes Mike' (aired as 'The Weekend') in which Rhoda and Mike realize they weren't meant for each other. "I'm fine china - you're paper plates! I'm a buyer, you're a renter!" she tells him. Charming little episode (with Nancy Walker added), but it really wrapped everything up a little too neatly. Though Rhoda is deeply in love with Mike, she accepts the fact quite easily and happily he wants to break-up.
After that episode, from November 13, 1977, they aired '9E' is available - back to November 11, 1974. It's an OK episode, and what saves it is actor Richard Romanus - hysterical as the 'undercover Puerto Rican detective' who is vacating 9E in Brenda's building. Why, oh why they didn't make him a recurring character is beyond me - sexy and funny at the same time (he should have been cast as Joe!).
So it looks like "Rhoda" has completed her cycle on METV, and they have decided to continue with it from November, 1974.
