Stone Staircase from Rhoda's Wedding
When Rhoda is running to her wedding she goes up a awesome looking stone staircase does anyone know where it actually is ? im guessing LA as that's where it was filmed and not NYC
shareNo, the wedding was actually shot on location in New York City! Harper talked about this in her memoir "I, Rhoda" from last year. They filmed that episode in July, 1974 - and I believe she said it was a very muggy day in NYC when they shot the episode, closing down major streets to film.
They wanted to stay 'true' to the story -starting in Manhattan (when she leaves Brenda's place) and making her way to the Bronx. I believe the staircase was shot in the Bronx - isn't it towards the end when she gets closer to the parents apartment building?
