Too bad they never got
Enik, S'latch and Zarn together, the 3 smartest beings in the LOTL, maybe together they could've figured out more.
Doctor Who: "It's the end, but the moment has been prepared for."

Enik and the Zarn would have to do some major ego-checking before they could even sit down to have a beer together.
I'm not sure S'latch survived. He was only in one episode. Since we never saw him again, I always figured he either got tossed back into The Pit when he returned to the Lost City, or Big Alice intercepted him and turned him into Sleestak sushi.
All three could have probibly found the way out if the did work together. shame they didn't get time together.
I allways thought the zarn just gave up after his ship got destroyed and stayed in the mist marsh. S'latch i thought became the sleestack leader from Season 3 (at to why he could talk )and got arrogant with power, and enik became disillusioned and bitter from being stuck in the land.
I wondered about S'latch becoming the Sleestak leader since they were the only two who could apparently speak. There was no other indication that the Sleestak Leader of Season 3 was S'latch (surely Will and Holly should have said something). Plus, the Sleestak leader of Season 2 didn't speak, although Rick could understand him due to the influence of the smoke in the Library of Skulls.
I also got the impression that the Zarn sort of resigned himself to being stuck in the LotL (damn them for not even mentioning him in the third season!). But really, the last time we saw him he was playing mind-games with Cha-ka, which was a major step down from gravity storms and... well, playing with Rick's mind (at least he had a robot for that). Still, the Zarn's last episode was quite good, and I especially loved how he played with Grumpy's mind to give him an itch. "Hmmmm... what you need is a good scratch. But before you can have a good scratch, you need a good itch." How sadistic can you be to give a t-rex an itch he can't possibly reach with those tiny arms? It's really a delightfully cruel little scene.
The Sleestak Leader introduced on season two's final episode "Blackout" and carried over into season three was far less intelligent than S"latch. It was explained by S'latch that from time to time a Sleestak is born with the intelligence of their ancestors (the Altrusians). The Sleestak Leader could've been a mutant cross between one of these "geniuses" and a regular Sleestak. He could speak English by also still communicate with the others. The other Sleestak might've considered him less of a freak than S'latch's kind so allowed him to remain in the group, and his (slightly) more advanced intelligence made him a good leader to try and defeat the Marshalls.
shareI would have liked to have seen S'latch more. I think that there was a limit with Enik and that limit had been reached. S'latch was a current resident of the land that did not belong in another era like Enik. I would have liked to have seen him learn human traits from the Marshalls and then assess the applicability to the Sleestack problems. Kind of like Data from ST:TNG.
