Special Guest Star Medusa
I liked that one. Who knows what she was doing in the Land of the Lost, though.

shareAnd who knows how Jefferson Davis Cawley from "Downstream" made it all the way to her hangout with his canon...
shareI first didn't make the connection with Cawley, and wondered where Holly had met a soldier with a canon before. Only much later did I make the connection. But a read on a site once that the statue looks nothing like Cawley--which it doesn't. So was it him or not?
shareHolly said it was.
shareYes, I think this is a case where it's clearly implied that the statue was of Jefferson Davis Collie III despite the fact that the statue itself doesn't resembled the character as played by Walker Edmiston. Sometimes you have to "fudge" the nitpicks a bit to make up for the low budget.
shareThe statue was probably borrowed from some other production.
shareAnd Uncle Jack Marshall can tell it's Medusa without having viewed Medusa from the name Medusa goes by 'Maddie' Yes, this conclusion was made without ever considering 'Madeline'
shareShe called herself Meddie, not Maddie.
The name alone was not how Jack drew the conclusion. Cha-ka scouted ahead and spoke with Holly, who told Cha-ka that she believed Meddie could turn creatures to stone, which Cha-ka relayed to Jack. Additionally, they had earlier examined one of Meddie's statues closely and Jack commented that it was so perfect he couldn't detect a single chisel mark. Jack probably could have deduced who it was without even knowing her nickname.
I'll have to put on closed captioning to see when she calls herself 'Meddie' as I heard 'Maddie'
shareThe best episode of Season 3.
