When I saw this on late night broadcast TV as a child....
I thought it was quite the trip and forgot about it. Later as a young adult I wanted to go back and check out all the crazy Sci-Fi from the early 70s. I came across Zardoz then realized it is less part of some wacked out 70s movement than it's own crazy thing.

I was hoping for more! Silent Running, Logan's Run, Soilent Green are OK, but do not come close to the bizarre world of Zardoz. Original Planet of the Apes '68 may be next best.

I saw it on a weekend afternoon TV broadcast, late 70s. I was probably 9 or 10. It blew my mind and I never forgot it. But I never got to see it again until it was on VHS, which was probably 10 years later. Then the DVD... then the blu-ray... then streaming...

Anyway, I've always wondered- If I was an adult when I first saw Zardoz, would I have become one of these typical haters with a huge 2x4 shoved up my ass?
